Instance Management

Instance Management

After creating a new instance, you can manage your Redis instances through the console, which includes operations such as capacity expansion, renewal, and instance management activities like monitoring and alerting.

The master-replica Redis console supports the following functionalities: creating slave libraries, configuring upgrades and downgrades, setting passwords, restart, slow query analysis, modifying configuration files, changing instance names, changing business groups, changing alarm templates, deleting, renewal and so forth.

master-replica Redis Slave Library

master-replica Redis supports creating slave libraries. Click on the "Create slave Library" in the operation item of the master-replica Redis instance, and confirm the pop-up window of creating a slave library to complete the creation of the slave library. master-replica Redis supports up to 5 slave libraries.

Configuration Upgrade and Downgrade

Master-replica Redis supports self-expansion and downsizing of Redis instances. To change the capacity of an instance, click on "Configuration Upgrade and Downgrade" in the operation section of the instance on the console to expand or downsize the capacity, as follows:

Configuration upgrade and downgrade operations for master-replica Redis can be performed on the console. When expanding, if the host resources are sufficient and no data migration is required, Redis will not be affected at all. However, if host resources are insufficient during expansion and data migration is needed, you will be warned about the implications for Redis as follows: Redis services remain available during the upgrade and downgrade period, but the load will increase when data synchronization starts, and there will be a brief interruption of about 20 seconds during master-replica switching. Therefore, it is recommended to perform these operations during business off-peak times. For Redis downsizing, the entire process has no effect on Redis.

Password Setting

Click "password setting" in the operation item of the master-replica Redis instance on the console to modify the password or cancel the password setting.

Restart/Delete Instance

Click restart in the operation item of the master-replica Redis instance on the console to restart redis;

Confirm deletion to release the instance, and refunds will be made to the customer's account according to the refund rules.

Note: Deleting an instance will clear the data and release resources, please operate carefully.

Redis Slow Query Analysis

Click "Slow Query Analysis" in the operation item of the master-replica Redis instance on the console, a pop-up window can view the latest 10 log information, log in to Redis and use the slowlog get command to view all logs.

Data Cleaning

The master-replica Redis instance console provides a data cleaning function, supporting cleaning all (FLUSHALL) and specified databases(FLUSHDB), FLUSHALL clears the data of the entire Redis instance(delete all keys in all databases), FLUSHDB clears all keys in the current database.

Maintenance time

The master-replica Redis product provides the setting of the maintenance time window, users can choose the time period to rewrite AOF according to their own business.
