Fragmentation Management
The master-replica Redis console provides fragmentation management function options. When the Redis fragmentation space is large, users can create a fragmentation management task for a certain period of time in the next day for this instance.
Notes
- Fragmentation management functions are supported only for instance resources of version 4.0 and above. Resources that do not meet the version requirements can be manually upgraded to version 4.0 or higher via the console.
- Users can determine whether to perform fragmentation management tasks by monitoring the memory fragmentation rate of resources. Generally, a fragmentation rate between 100% and 150% indicates a healthy state.
- During fragmentation, there may be a slight increase in Redis load. The load proportion can be configured on the Redis configuration management page. It is recommended to initiate the task during off-peak business hours.
Operation Steps
- Select the master-replica Redis instance, choose the "Fragmentation Management" button in the more options, and enter the task time period selection window.
- Determine the start time of the task. It is generally recommended to carry out during off-peak periods according to your own business. Click the confirm button.
- Open the timed task management window, you can see the fragmentation management task information that we just set up, cancellation is supported.
- Wait for the task start time, the instance will turn on the fragmentation management switch, continue to sort out until the set end time, cancellation is supported during this period.
