Reliability

The cloud disk (UDisk) adopts a multiple backup mechanism across cabinets within the availability zone and is synchronized in real time to ensure that it is not affected by a single machine failure. The general cloud disk guarantees data persistence of 99.99999%, and both the SSD cloud disk and RSSD cloud disk guarantee data persistence of 99.999999%.

Capacity and Elasticity

The cloud disk (UDisk) can freely configure storage capacity and can expand at any time. Currently, the RSSD cloud disk supports a maximum capacity of 32000G. Multiple cloud disks can be mounted on a single cloud host, allowing the cloud host disk capacity to be infinitely expanded.

Usability

The cloud disk (UDisk) supports quick creation, mounting, unmounting, deletion, and expansion operations, and can conveniently deploy and manage UDisk products without rebooting the server.

Backup and Recovery

The cloud disk (UDisk) supports two backup methods: manual snapshots and data ark.
* Manual snapshots can support data disk backups and can restore or create new UDisk instances from backups.
* The data ark, in addition to fully supporting the manual snapshot function, also supports the real-time backup function of the cloud disk and can restore or create new UHost instances from backups at any point in time.
Enabling data ark or regularly creating snapshots for the cloud disk (UDisk) is an economical and convenient way to improve long-term data persistence. If the cloud disk (UDisk) fails, it can be timely restored or create a new instance from the last snapshot or data ark.
