Specific Operation:
- Connect to the host instance via the page console or RDC tool, this example uses the proprietary RDC tool.
- On the Windows Server desktop, right-click the "Start" icon and select "Disk Management".
`In this example, Disk1 is the mount point of the cloud hard disk. Please operate according to the actual situation. If you do not see the corresponding device, please check the cloud hard disk mounting information and status.`
- Right click on Disk1 and select "Initialize Disk".
`If the disk is in offline state, please first online the disk.`
''Disks larger than 2TB only support GPT partitioning. If you are unsure about whether the disk will be expanded beyond this value in the future, it is recommended that you choose GPT partitioning;
If you are certain that the disk size will not exceed this value, it is recommended that you choose MBR partitioning for better compatibility.''
- Partition the disk, right click on the unallocated space and select "New Simple Volume".
In the pop-up "New Simple Volume Wizard" window, click next:
Enter the required disk size for the partition, and click next.
Allocate the drive number (drive letter), and click next.
Choose the file system, format the partition, and click next.
Click finish.
- Check the new partition situation.
