Configuration Changes
Depending on the billing method of your host, the details regarding billing, refunds, and additional charges for configuration changes are as follows.
Prepaid
If your current host uses a prepaid billing method (including annual, monthly, or hourly payment), an immediate order will be generated when a configuration upgrade or downgrade occurs. The validity of the new order will extend from the end of the original order until the time of the upgrade. Upon confirming the need for additional or refunded payments, the new configuration will take effect immediately. For detailed rules regarding additional and refunded payments, see Configuration Change Additional/Return Payments Explained.
Example: Suppose you purchased a host with a configuration of 1 core and 1 GB of RAM, prepaid annually. The resource order starts on March 1, 2021, at 9:00 AM and ends on March 1, 2022, at 9:00 AM. If you upgrade the configuration to 2 cores and 4 GB of RAM at 9:00 AM on March 2, 2021, the system will generate a new order. This new order will be valid from March 1, 2021, at 9:00 AM to March 2, 2022, at 9:00 AM, and the order amount will reflect the additional payment required.
Postpaid
If your current host uses a postpaid billing method, the configuration changes will take effect immediately upon upgrade or downgrade. Charges will be calculated separately based on the usage time of both the new and old configurations, with orders generated hourly. For detailed rules regarding additional and refunded payments, see Configuration Change Additional/Return Payments Explained.
