Resource Monitoring
1. Introduction to Resource Monitoring
"Resource Monitoring" is the display panel of monitoring indicators in the monitoring center, which provides a quick search for the current value, historical value, and multiple resources single indicator comparison view of each indicator for each instance according to the product dimension. Also, it can set alarms to bind alarm templates to each resource rapidly, achieving alarm notifications when the threshold is triggered, for rapidly troubleshooting.
2. Basic Operations of Resource Monitoring
2.1 Resource Listing
In the resource monitoring list, basic monitoring data are displayed, and the resource type to be viewed is determined through the resource type corner of the page. The selected resource type can be filtered through the filter box.
As shown above, five monitoring indicators including "CPU usage", "NIC in/out bandwidth", and "Disk read/write throughput" are given in the cloud host monitoring list. Other monitoring indicators may be viewed in detail by clicking the "Data View" button to enter the resource monitoring detailed chart page.
2.2 Data View
Click on the "Data View" button in the resource list to go directly to the detailed data view page of the selected resource.
In the data view page, by default, it will display the monitoring image of all monitoring indicators of the currently selected resource in the past one hour, providing a fast view of the monitoring image in 1 hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 1 day, 7 days, 15 days. In addition, users may choose the time to view according to their needs.
Note: The cloud host in the image includes 16 monitoring indicators, some of which require the installation of a monitoring agent for data reporting. If you need to install a monitoring agent for the cloud host, please refer to Monitoring Agent
2.3 Contrasting Chart
In the resource monitoring page, besides the "Resource Listing" tab, a "Contrasting Chart" function for multiple resources is also provided for viewing the monitoring indicator view of multiple resources in comparison.
Click on the "Contrasting Chart" tab to enter, and generate a contrasting chart by selecting the two dimensions of "Resource" and "Monitoring Indicator". The view options for different time periods are provided as well.
Note: The contrast view currently supports up to 15 resource indicators contrast charts.
2.4 Setting Alarm
In addition to monitoring data and view checks, resource monitoring provides a bulk setting alarm function for resources, i.e., "Setting Alarm Template".
Select resources and click on "Setting Alarm Template" to manage the alarm templates bound to the resources.
Note: Alarm settings adopt the method of binding alarm templates. We provide a default alarm template for each type of resource. Users can create or copy new templates according to their needs to add custom monitoring thresholds.
After setting up, you can check the alarm template bound to the current resource in the resource list.
Note: For alarm template operation, please refer to Alarm Template.
