Quick Start
Create MySQL instance

Create MySQL instance

  1. Select "Cloud Database MySQL UDB">"MySQL Management" on the console, and click "Create Database"; or click to create a MySQL instance in the blank area according to the prompt.
  1. Select the region and availability zone in the creation page.
  1. Select the database configuration

3.1) Select the instance type (high availability version), version, database machine type, memory, hard drive, and high availability disaster recovery plan as needed. When creating a MySQL instance, the default configuration file will be used. If there is a special need, users can upload a customized configuration file.

  • After users select the major version, they can select the corresponding minor version from the minor version list.
  • For version 8.0, users can configure "table name case sensitivity" as needed. This configuration cannot be changed after the instance is created.
off indicates lower_case_table_names=0, that is, the table name is case-insensitive
on indicates lower_case_table_names=1, that is, the table name is case-sensitive

3.2) Set the network, instance name, port number, administrator username, and administrator password as required. The default port number for MySQL is 3306, and the default administrator username is root. For data security, the administrator password requires a certain level of complexity.

3.3) Database billing, select the billing method and billing cycle on the right panel, and click "Buy Now".

  1. Finally, confirm all selections and the amount, and proceed to payment.
  1. After the payment is completed, the page will redirect to the MySQL instance management page, and the MySQL instance will be initialized. After the initialization is completed, it can be used; the MySQL instance management page lists all the information of the MySQL instance, including the instance name, properties, IP address, instance type, machine type, version, status, etc.
  1. Select a MySQL instance and click "Details" to display the detailed information of the MySQL instance, and you can also view monitoring data and perform common operations.
